        BIWIN Technology Ltd, a 16-year flash storage professional manufacturer，showcased a brand trio of 2.5” SSD in their consumer Solid State Disk Series in October. It covers a whole price/performance spectrum: An entry-level “Smart” Series, a mid-Class “Pro” series, and this high and mighty “Elite” Series.

      The Elite series 2.5” SSD, which will be available from densities 60GB to 480GB, utilizes a SATAIII, 6Gb/s interface, 2Xnm MLC NAND Flash Memory and a SandForce SF-2281 controller. The sequential transfer speed can reach a maximum to 500 MB/s per Reading /Writing, and random R/W performance is even up to 30000 IOPS. It has a MTBF (Mean Time between Failures) for 2M hours, supports TRIM and has at least 3-Years Warranty.

      The Elite Series SSD is now sampling in October and available in mass production by end of November or early December 2011.
